The National Palace of Pena
A Romanticist palace is the Pena National Palace in Portugal. In 1842, King Ferdinand II constructed it. The Great Lisbon Earthquake of 1755 did a lot of damage to a monastery built on top of the palace. With its initial red and yellow colors restored to their former glory, the Pena National Palace has since become the most popular place in Portugal.
Mysore Palace
It is also called Amba Vilas Palace. In the city of Mysore, there is a palace in the southern part of India. It is where the Wodeyars live now. They were once the royal family of Mysore. There are also two places called durbar halls (ceremonial meeting halls of the royal court). India has a lot of old palaces, but the most famous one is the Mysore Palace.
Schonbrunn Palace
Since the 1960s, it has been among the most-visited places in Vienna. Schonbrunn Palace used to be the summer home of the emperors of Austria. It was built in the Rococo style and had 1,441 rooms.
I asked Emperor Leopold to build the palace between 1696 and 1712. There are many things to see in Palace Park, such as the Privy Garden, the Gloriette, a maze and labyrinth, the oldest zoo in the world, and a marble guesthouse on top of a 60-meter-high hill.
Summer Palace
Longevity Hill and Kunming Lake make up most of the Summer Palace. It has an area of 2.9 square kilometers, of which 2.7 square kilometers is water. In the summer, when they wanted to escape the Forbidden City, China’s imperial rulers came here. In 1750, the gardens got a big facelift based on palaces and gardens across China. To make the lake in Kunming look like the West Lake in Hangzhou, it was made bigger.

The Palace of Versailles is just a royal chateau in a city in France called Île-de-France. The city is called Versailles. In 1624, Louis XIII built Versailles so that hunters could stay there. When the chateau was built, Versailles was a small town in the country. But it is a rich part of Paris, approximately 20 kilometers southwest of the French capital. It used to be a popular tourist destination and is now an exhibition.
Château de Chambord
The royal Chateau de Chambord is in Chambord in Loir-et-Cher, France. It is one of the most well-known chateaux in the world due to its unique French Renaissance architecture, which combines medieval French forms with traditional Renaissance structures.
I built the building King François. Although the flooding in June 2016 hurt the grounds, it did not hurt the chateau. It is now believed that the most lovely palace is the chateau. It’s open to all, and millions of people go there every year.
Buckingham Palace
The British monarch lives and works at Buckingham Palace, which used to be called Buckingham House. The City of Westminster is where Buckingham Palace is. There are state events as well as royal parties there. It has been the focus of the British people’s attention in both good and bad times.
The palace has 775 rooms and a large garden that looks like a park. The garden is London’s largest private garden because it has a lake. The public can visit the staterooms utilized for official and state events for most of September and August and some days in the spring and winter.

Alhambra
Alhambra is a complex of palaces and forts in the Spanish region of Andalusia. The city of Granada is where it is. In 889, it was constructed as a fortress, but in 1333, the Sultan of Granada, Yusuf I, turned it into a royal palace.
The last group of Muslim rulers in Spain, the Nasrids, constructed the Islamic palaces inside the Alhambra. When the Reyes Católicos took over the country again in 1492, they used some of it. Alhambra is now the most-visited place in Spain, and so many people go to Granada to see it.
Potala Palace
The Potala Palace is in the Tibetan Autonomous Region, in the city of Lhasa in China. The Potala Palace is 130 meters above the Lhasa Valley. It is on Marpo Ri Hill. It goes up another 170 meters and is Tibet’s tallest building.
Even though there was a palace here in the seventh century, the Potrang Karpo, also called the White Palace, wasn’t started until 1645, when the fifth Dalai Lama was in charge. In 1648, it was done. The Potrang Marpo, also called the Red Palace, was built between 1690 and 1694. The Dalai Lama lived in Potala Palace until 1959 when China invaded Tibet, and the 14th Dalai Lama had to flee.
